Customised program design

From the very first phone call or meeting, ALI will be taking your desired aims and objectives into consideration when designing your program.

Each program we run is uniquely different to meet each school’s needs. Whether it is a geography field trip, outdoor education program, snow resort trip, leadership course or school retreat, each program is designed to meet your specific needs.

You can choose between a centre based program or a journey based program, with a combination of activities to suit your desired outcome for your students. Programs and activities can be based at our accommodation centre (Bungarra Alpine Centre), expedition based run in the Kosciusko National Park or a combination of both.

Curriculum based programs & field trips

The Snowy Mountains region is full of amazing resources and case studies to help bring curriculum content to life

Field trips are so effective because they engage all learning styles. These programs take the students out of the classroom environment and offer education based on the principles of experiential learning. The curriculum options have been developed with a number of experienced teachers and the education arm of the National Parks and Wildlife service.

The content and learning methodologies are refined for each program to reflect the school’s approach and the context of its curriculum. Group sizes are flexible with as few as 20 students and as many as 220.

Duke of Edinburgh Award

ALI can assist your school in planning and undertaking your Duke of Edinburgh programs (Bronze, Silver or Gold)

We are perfectly placed to work with you to ensure your students have appropriate equipment and experienced guides and facilitators in all seasons in the Snowy Mountains. Our experience and expertise helps to ensure a safe and enjoyable trip for all.

Kosciuszko National Park is a great place to complete preliminary or qualifying hiking, canoeing or backcountry snow travel programs. Our experienced staff will make sure you are trained and assessed in line with the Duke of Edinburgh’s award standards.
